Oscars Inspired Painting

I just can’t get over the Oscars, especially their outfits. Like wooooowww. Hahahaha. I guess that’s the only thing I enjoy seeing whenever I watch these kinds of award shows. The Dress, The Tux and how beautiful and handsome they are in it.

So after watching the Oscars, I just can’t get over the beautiful dress worn by Emma Stone and also the spring inspired dress of Keira Knightley. I decided to make these as my inspiration for my watercolor painting. And this is how it turned out.

I know I still have a long way to go. But hey, At least it came out better than I expected. Hahaha

What I love about these dresses is that they’re unique. Emma Stone’s Elie Saab gown was just amazing. Its slit and that va va voom back shows how sexy Emma Stone is but she still looks classy. Also, the gown makes her glow.

With Keira Knightley’s Valentino gown, it was extremely unique. Wearing that to Oscars, for me, was a little risky. There’s a lot going on on the dress. The flowers, the graffiti, but somehow it works together. Keira Knightley brought Spring to the Oscars. She looks so fresh and Angelic paired with a minimal make-up and a simple hairdo.

Hopefully, I gave justice to both dresses with my painting. Hahahaha. Though, I still really need to practice.

Flatlay Friday

T.G.I.F woohooo!! And Thank God there are no classes. Yeaahh!!

Oohhh congratulations to the Louisian Graduates. Yaaayyy!! In june, it’s my turn to Graduate. Yaayyy!! Congrats, Congrats!!

It’s my first time to do a flatlay. Who knew doing a flatlay photography for fashion is quite challenging. Challenging in terms of finding a good lighting, finding the perfect position of the clothes, what else to put in the flatlay, and editing it.

This flatlay is not only to show everyone my ootd but it also serves as my official entry for Ray-Ban x Zalora Contest. Where-in you have to take a creative photo of a flatlay with your Ray-Ban.

As you can see, it’s a pretty simple flatlay. Knowing me, simplicity is somehow not always in my vocubulary. Hahaha. But this time, I chose to make it simple because the outfit itself is simple. As stated in the black cardboard “Back 2 Basics.”

When I saw the other entries from the contest, they are awesomely creative. Well at least I tried, right? Hahaha.

P.S. I know this will be far from the topic of this blog post but I would just like to extend my deepest and sincerest condolence to the families of the SAF members who have died on a siege that happened a couple of days ago in Maguindanao. Until now, I still don’t know why people go to the extent of taking the lives of one another just to get what they want. Hopefully, their death and heroism wouldn’t go to waste and they may find the justice that they deserve.

Pullover Thursday

OOTD time!!

I bought a pullover from one of my High School batchmates. Finally, I had the chance to use it. Wooohooo, thank you to the cold weather. Well it wasn’t that cold but it was ok because the pullover was not the thick kind.

I super love the design of this pullover. Though it’s not my first choice. But it was ok, I liked this one better. I love polkadots and flower printed clothes so this is perfect. Plus it’s super comfy because it’s lightweight.

I paired my outfit with a bun. Just enjoying my long hair while I still can.

I’m just happy. Well when it comes to candid shots you know who took my photo. (If only you’re a reader of my blog) hahaha xD

Well can’t wait to buy more pullovers, if there’s money. Hahaha. This would be perfect for the next few months where Baguio’s weather would become colder. 🙂

Vacation Grande

Class ended last friday, that means IT’S VACATION TIME!!

But, I don’t know what to do this 2 month vacation. Hhhmmmmm. HELP!!

As you can tell this was a boring day. Was about to go on-board but then there was a new thing at RPN. About connecting frequencies. Is that it? I don’t know. Hahaha XD So we just decided to eat lunch at Alfoncito and get a drink at Under the Tree. Nice food exploration.

I want more of this Nutty Banana Crepe.. Please!!

My Mixed Berry Smoothie from Under the Tree. It was in a big glass but still I don’t know why but it wasn’t enough. I WANT MORE!! Maybe I liked it so much because it tastes the same as the mixed berry krusher at KFC which I love.

Cut Outs Parisian Style

(I have posted this last night but apparently it didn’t post -______-)

I have bought 2 things this week. A clutch/envelope bag and shoes which is both from Parisian. I bought them in separate days and the only time I’ve realized that they are both having those cut-out designs and their color are both from the same brown family is when I went home. Hahaha XD

Firstly the bag. We were at the bag section of SM and I was randomly looking at clutches when I saw this bag at the lowest shelf and is at the back of the rack. It was a battle to remove the bags in front of it but it is worth it!! Haha. The clutch has this cute cut-out details wherein there is gold peeking through. I have asked the salesperson if there are other stocks and if it is available in other colors. When she came back she told me that it was the last one. If you know me personally, you will know that one of my motto is “IF IT IS THE LAST THING AND YOU WANT IT, IT IS MEANT TO BE YOURS.” Hahaha XD So I guess you know what I did, I bought it. Even Ally was shocked when I told the salesperson I’ll get it.

For the shoes, well I was really looking for flats. I enjoy wearing flats more because they’re comfy, easy to wear and easy to walk in especially if you live in my neighborhood. But then my eyes saw this nude heels and I think they were calling my name? Hahaha. I tried them on, and my mom approved (which is weird because heels and me in the eyes of my mom is a horror film.. Hahaha) so I bought it. I guess she approved because it was my money anyway. XD

So yesterday, I’ve wore them in church and when I went to meet my friends and watched the event at SM.

Januar 6th.. My 1st Monday of the Year

The question is……

Did I even have a vacation?? from school maybe yes but because I have my internship, I still have to go out every single day. Well that’s life.

Vacation’s officially over and I have to go back to school. Excited? Not really. Because I have to already see my grades which
I know aren’t high because I haven’t really been focus on my studies. (THIS YEAR I MUST BE FOCUS!!)

Woke up late even if I slept early. It was coooolllddd!! And my blanket was warm and cozy and it hugged me so tight I can’t let go. Hahaha. Thank goodness I was able to be at RPN exactly 11. Not late for the on-board.. Wooohooo!! But because I was rushing I accidentally wore my cousins foldable flats. Sorry ✌️

Moving on, after our on-board, Ally and I have decided to eat at Vizcos. First time ever to sit at their second floor. Look at their wall cuishons. 🙂

I’ve ordered their snack combo of pasta, chicken strips and salad. And a pineapple juice. After a while our orders came.

It was a good plate. Liked the pasta the most. The chicken strips (for me at least) taste like fish. I don’t know if it’s because of the batter. The salad was ordinary. I know that others don’t want to drown their salad with the dressing but could I somehow taste what the dressing is? At first bite I really thought that there was no dressing and it was only top with grated cheese. But still, I want to go back to Vizcos sooner because I want to order their Red Velvet Cake. 🙂

After our Vizcos lunch we went to Porta Vaga and I was looking for a place for my OOTD but can’t find any so Ally decided why not try in Oh My Gulay (which was located across the street). So off we go!! At first we were not really planning on eating there but because we were going to take pictures, we decided to order. Because we didn’t have desserts at Vizcos we decided to order their dessert crepes but apparently all desserts weren’t available. Even the tsokolate I wanted ain’t available :'(( So we just settled for their Limonada, basically lemonade, and their appetizer of Bulaklak (I think there’s something more to our orders name).

While waiting, I took Ally’s photo on the bridge. Ooohhh wait fun fact!! Oh My Gulay is a vegetarian restaurant where the place is located at the top of La Azotea Building at Session Road. It’s an inside garden and an art exhibit in one. Coooolll right?!!

Back to Ally’s photos. And here it is 🙂

And our orders came. Yeeheeyy!!

First of all, that Limonada was like woooowww!! It’s in your face I’m a lemon and I’m sour. But it was good. But if you’re not a fan of sour food, well this drink isn’t for you. For the Bulaklak, it was deep fried squash blossoms. What I liked about the appetizer was its dipping sauce. It was sooooo gooooddd! The deep fried squash blossom itself was bland but with the sauce, it was perfect. (Ally said)

After that we went back to school. Time to face my teachers and the blackboard once again. *sigh*

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

It’s the 1st day of 2014.. So how have you spent it?

Well for me I spent it with my FAMILY and FOOD of course.. Hihihi.. Anyway yesterday night, we went to church.. It has been a tradition for us to go to church before 2014 comes and in the morning of January 1st.

Also last night, my mom and I have lighted some candles we bought at National Bookstore. This are different colored candles and each candle has a different significance. You light it at 11:30 in the evening and blow it off at exactly 12 of new years eve. The smallest candle among them, that would be the luckiest thing for you.

Today, we went to my cousin’s house to celebrate new year. We don’t normally do this because of some beliefs, but because one of my uncles invited us, so why not.. As usual what we did is EAT!! Hahaha.. Nothing new about that.. All in all I enjoyed the coming of 2014.. Hoping for the best this year.. As I said in my tweet!! POSITIVITY and OPTIMISM!!

Class Starts Today: Outfit Of The Day

It’s official, classes for this school year has just began (for my school and some other schools for that matter).

When it comes to 1st days in school, I know there are a lot of questions going on in your mind. Like who would be your classmates? Would you make any friends? Who would be your professors? Would they be terrors or not?

in my case I also ask those questions. But the number one question I always ask myself before school starts not only during the first day but also the succeeding days is

WHAT TO WEAR???

1st days in schools or in any other 1st days or 1st times in events, we tend to ask that question. (I know I do)

Why?

Everyone knows the quotation “Don’t judge a book by its cover” right? But people can’t help it. Especially if they don’t know you and they haven’t seen you before, definitely they’ll make up your profile in there minds not by asking who you are but how they see you with their eyes. And that means it’s your appearance they’re using.

So make sure to wear clothes that looks good on you and are in good condition (you don’t want a wardrobe malfunction). Look clean and fresh. And make sure that what you’re wearing is comfortable. Because if not, your irritation would be seen on your actions and your facial expressions.

So for me, I wore this today on my 1st day as a third year college student
